Nice puzzle game to relax for a while. Looks and feels very raw. Inventory box is not convinient at all, it was driving me crazy getting there each time I needed anything. Puzzles look quite cool, but execution is extremily crude.. This is my favoriye kind of game. The puzzle were well thought out and kept me thinking without too much frustration.. This is a difficult puzzle game superimposed on evocative dadaist art. It's not really an “adventure” because there's no real story nor interaction beyond the puzzles. Despite the difficulty, all the puzzles are logical and can be solved with enough patience and thought. They are not groundbreaking, but are original, well designed, and very satisfying. The game world has a memorable underlying cohesion, but don't expect the breathtaking scope and grandeur of Myst. Still, those who enjoy that kind of deliberate puzzle solving will surely enjoy LEAVES as a tasty little snack. My caveats are about bugs and controls. Annoyingly, sometimes the “back” button doesn't work, but at least there is a workaround: go into the menu and return to the game. Not fun. The controls are terribly designed: accessing the in-game inventory requires you to click on a tiny little handle, which often appears on top of objects in the game. Also not fun.. Really lovely puzzler. I thoroughly enjoyed this game.8.1 hours for one full playthrough 1 achievement for playing through without stopping... a bit much for me, so I completed the game in multiple 30-60 minutes sessions. That last cheevo will have to wait, or may never be gotten by me. Even after playing through once, and having screensots of puzzle solutions and steps, I am not a sppedrunner, and feel it would be too long for me to site and do it all again in one go. Though I will likely play it again. But not a quick 100% game, if that is what you are looking for. Puzzles are logic puzzles, for the most part. Medium to hard-ish, a few simpler ones mixed in. All of them do make you use your brain, which is wonderful. Many rely on good memory, but the game does give you ways to go back, look at what you need, then go back to the puzzle. (No puzzle resets if you leave a location). So you can leave, go back later if one is becoming frustrating. Many of the puzzles were quite clever, and made me think outside of the box. Only a few that were all trial and error solving on my part, mainly because I was too impatient to sit and think them through. No fault of the game, just my lack of caffeine intake and patience at some points.Lovely artwork! A blend of the Samorost\/Botanulica style, with some more realistic elements that felt like oil paintings or acrylic paintings (of good quality), and perhaps a touch of Monty Python thrown in. Some chuckle inspiring Easter Eggs... Starship USS Enterprise, anyone? The art style is a lovely mix, which seems to have multiple inspirations, artfully belnded together to make a cohesive, if a bit trippy, style of its own. Quite pleasant.Audio was of very good quality, not terribly intrusive, and very appropriate for the game. No loud, repetative music, or jarring sounds, that distracted from thinking, just appropriate audio at appropriate times. Sound levels were good, consistent, not too loud, not too soft, making the game a relaxing "quiet" game to play.No bugs experienced on any of the puzzles, but it might pay to check the forums if you are having any troubles. Some needed you to take what seemed like a bit arbitrary and unneeded steps (like rotating pieces completely around 360\u00b0 before setting them), may be a bit confusing to "get" what you need to do. A few people did report some issues with certain puzzles or with bugs, so check the forums, the answers are there if need be. The game does autosave on exit, and you only have one gamesave at a time, but there are 3 manual save slots if you want or need to save "just in case". I did manually save after each level, overwriting the oldest levels in order as I went, but never needed to use those saves. But, still nice to have.Game ran beautifully on my Windows 7 toaster gaming desktop, 6 years old almost. No lags no hitches, no bugs. I am guessing this game would run well even on an older laptop or straight-up office machine. No PC Master Race rig needed here. Not for people who want a fast, easy, no-brains-needed puzzler. There is a story to the game, but I will admit, it was not obvious until the very end, at least for me. There is a good bit of needing to go back and forth from one area to the next and back to the one before that, which may be aggrivating for some people who like straight, linear progressions. But it never felt like it was done just to pad playing time. It always had a reason, and felt right to me. The movement was part of solving the puzzles, and testing your memory.Worth every penny at full price, absolutley grab it if on sale. Yes, it has Trading Cards, which dropped at a reasonable rate, but you will not make profit from those alone, if that is all you buy games for. Currently the cards seem to be listing at well above average prices, but do not seem to be selling quickly. Not much in the way of Trading going on when I looked either, unless Steam Community was down the day I looked in the Trading subforum. You're still here? Go get the game, and give your brain a little exercize already.. Absolutely love this game – the visual surreal imagery it stunning and very pleasing to the eye. Some of the images remind me allot of Monty Python. The music score and sound effects fit the game very well and don’t over power. The puzzles are unique and well made. I have only played for about an hour so far but I am transfixed and mesmerised by the stunning artwork.Watch me play - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3-avXtWkAg. Fantastic game, excellent puzzles, highly recommended
